Successful Endeavours provides Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) from our Melbourne factory, supporting low-to-medium volume products that need reliable assembly, programming, test, traceability, and engineering support. Because our manufacturing team works alongside our electronics design and embedded software teams, we can design for production from the beginning rather than treating manufacturing as a handover problem.
Manufacturing outcomes are shaped long before the first production build. During product development we consider component availability, assembly method, programming access, test coverage, enclosure assembly, serviceability, labelling, and traceability so the product can be built repeatedly and supported over time.
Our quality management platform allows us to track every PCBA through the manufacturing process. This uses a unique identifier and supports production control, test records, rework visibility, and release decisions so shipped PCBAs meet our quality requirements.

Electronics manufacturing services include:
- PCB Assembly
- PCBA Programming and Test
- Traceability and Quality Control
- Box Build or Product Assembly
- Mechanical Components and Production Support
Production Readiness
Production readiness is the difference between a design that works as a prototype and a product that can be built repeatedly.
Whether we designed the product from the start or are manufacturing an existing design, we look at the details that affect component sourcing, assembly, yield, programming, test coverage, traceability, serviceability, and long-term support.
For new products, those considerations are built into the design process from the beginning. For existing products, we can review the design and recommend practical changes that improve manufacturability, reduce rework, simplify test, or improve production reliability.
Production readiness changes as the product moves from R&D prototypes to field-trial units, compliance-test units, initial production, and larger production runs.
Who is this for?
Our electronics manufacturing service is best suited to products where quality, traceability, engineering support, and production feedback matter. This includes industrial electronics, instrumentation, IoT devices, safety-related products, specialist equipment, and low-to-medium volume Australian-made products.
We are an electronics product development company with in-house electronics manufacturing services, not a commodity contract assembler. We are set up for products where design knowledge, test coverage, production support, and lifecycle reliability make a material difference.
Electronics Manufacturing Services
PCB Assembly
The heart of our Melbourne factory is an automated SMT line. This allows us to cost-effectively assemble low-to-medium volume electronic products in Australia.
Our setup includes automated solder paste stencil printing, SMT pick-and-place assembly, vision inspection with image capture and unique identifier decoding, and SMT reflow. We also support manual paste stencilling, hand assembly, through-hole components, rework, inspection, and small production builds where engineering feedback is still valuable.
High-quality soldering equipment and microscopes allow us to handle fine-pitch rework, small passive components, and larger through-hole parts. This also supports the smaller quantities often needed for fast-turnaround R&D prototypes.

PCBA Programming and Test
Programming and test are part of the manufacturing process, not optional extras. Depending on the product, this can include firmware loading, configuration, calibration, functional testing, current measurement, communications testing, sensor checks, relay or load testing, and recording results against the PCBA identifier.
For low-volume products, testing may be manual or semi-manual using connectors, probes, test points, and product-specific procedures. For higher volumes or more complex products, Automated Test Equipment (ATE) can make testing faster, more repeatable, and less dependent on manual probing.

Traceability and Quality Control
Our quality management platform allows us to track each PCBA through the manufacturing process using a unique identifier. This supports production control, test records, rework visibility, release decisions, and lifecycle support.
For products where reliability and support matter, traceability helps connect manufacturing history, test outcomes, and product support over time.

Box Build or Product Assembly
Box build brings together the parts that make up the finished electronic product. This may include fitting PCBAs into enclosures, adding wiring looms, installing labels, completing final checks, and preparing the product for shipment.
For suitable products, this allows us to support not just PCB assembly, but finished electronic product assembly.
Mechanical Components and Production Support
Electronic products often need mechanical components, enclosures, labels, fixtures, jigs, and production aids to support prototyping, testing, assembly, and low-volume production.
We can use in-house 3D printing, laser cutting, and desktop CNC milling where appropriate, and can also source externally manufactured parts when that is the better fit for material, finish, tolerance, volume, or cost.
These capabilities help reduce lead time during development and support low-volume manufacturing where full production tooling is not yet justified. They also allow us to support more of the complete manufacturing process, rather than requiring one supplier to assemble the PCB and another to complete the remaining mechanical, fixture, or production-support work.
Prototypes, Field Trials and Compliance Units
We deliberately support low-volume manufacturing so our design team can build and test the latest prototype in weeks rather than months.
This also allows us to produce the small quantities often needed for field trials, compliance testing, customer evaluation, service spares, and early production without waiting for the lead times normally associated with larger electronics manufacturing providers.
That may be obvious to us, but it is an important part of the value we offer: keeping early production close to the design, firmware, test, and manufacturing teams shortens feedback loops and helps resolve issues before the product is scaled.
Scaling Production in Australia
Our in-house factory is well suited to prototypes, field-trial units, compliance-test units, service spares, and low-to-medium volume production. Keeping early production close to the design and firmware teams allows production issues to be resolved quickly and fed back into the product. It also gives the design team direct feedback on what production readiness means in practice.
Where product volumes grow beyond the best fit for our facility, we can help transition production to a higher-volume Australian electronics manufacturing partner with the documentation, programming, test approach, and manufacturing knowledge already established. Because Australian electronics manufacturing partners differ in facilities, capability, throughput, test approach, and commercial fit, we can also assist with determining the best manufacturing partner for the product’s specific requirements.
